1. Make the gutter wide enough
Usually, texts in books are cluttered at the arc of the open book, making it difficult to read
because text on the inside right side of a left page (verso) or the inside left side of a right page (recto) mix in the gutter.

2. Add headers The normal practice when creating books is to add a "header" on the left page containing the name of the book and another on the right page with the chapter title. This will help the reader's ability to navigate around the book. Also, if the book is photocopied or divided into electronic documents, it will be easy to find the source of the book.

3. Keep the numbering clear and simple
Some books use Roman numerals (I-X) on front pages to distinguish between introductory pages and main sections. I think it is clearer and more functional to use Arabic numerals (0-9) and explain the division section in other ways.
